Outdoor Cooking with Dutch Ovens

Outdoor Cooking with Dutch Ovens!

Relying on simple recipes, fresh ingredients, easy techniques, and the most basic equipment, you can create wonderful hearty camp meals that will become lifelong favorites. Outdoor cooking doesn’t need to be elaborate to be fantastic, nor does it have to rely on processed, canned, or freeze-dried ingredients. A few good ingredients, simply prepared, can always make a delicious meal—even with only one main cooking vessel: the Dutch oven. Made of cast iron, a Dutch oven is incredibly durable, conducts heat beautifully, and is versatile enough to cook just about everything.

Registration

Course registration & confirmation is on a first-come basis. ONE registrant per online form. Your workshop fee MUST accompany your online registration form. After you have registered and paid the fee, you will receive an email confirmation that will provide a suggested “to bring” list, and an agenda for the day along with camp directions.  Your registration is not fully processed until you receive this confirmation email (please be sure to check your spam folders).

At registration check-in, you will be asked to sign a waiver. This waiver states that you recognize this program involves some risk and you take responsibility for all your actions and injuries that may result by participating, and you grant WOW permission to publish photographs or digital images, with or without your name for editorial and advertising purposes.

Scholarship Option

A limited number of partial scholarships are available for the Dutch Oven workshop this year and will be awarded based on need, to women 18-years and older, and who are Washington state residents. Consideration will be given to single parents, low-income applicants, and full-time students.

Thanks to a generous grant, the scholarship recipient will only pay 25%, or $24 of the $95 registration fee. Only one scholarship per applicant/family will be awarded in each calendar year. Because WOW hopes to reach as many women as possible, preference is given to applicants who have never attended a WOW workshop. Scholarships will be awarded by a review committee. Before you complete the registration form, please complete the online application below.
